Gisborough Priory
All around Guisborough can be seen the east Window of Guisborough Priory, a ruined Augustinian priory, founded in 1119 by Robert de Brus II.
The picture on the left is a view of the still standing East window (the grassed area would have been inside the Priory.
The picture on the right is a view across the graveyard, from the Applegarth. The Applegarth is a footpath alongside the church splitting to go either to the Laurence Jackson school or Gisborough Hall.
Inside the Priory Grounds has a small building housing the Redcar & Cleveland Council Tourist information Centre for Guisborough.
